My Current Beauty Wishlist for April

Ardell Fashion Lashes
I've never worn false lashes (successfully) so I'd like to try these. The 109s and Demi Wispies seem to look like some of the most natural looking styles.
Revlon Precision Lash Adhesive
This is the only lash glue I have been able to find that isn't formulated with formaldehyde or latex and I love that it comes in clear or dark colours.
e.l.f Eyebrow Stencil Kit
To try out some new shapes... (mono-brow not included)
NYX Eyebrow Marker
This is a fairly new product and I'd like to try it out for creating a more precise shape. Good for anyone who needs something more long wearing.
NYX Slim Lip Pencil
I'd like to start wearing a lip-liner to make my lip colour last longer.
NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker
Confession time: I've never bought a liquid liner before! I need something that creates a super thin line because my eyelids don't provide a lot of room.
NYX Slide on Eye Pencil in White
Want to try a white eyeliner to really open up my eyes.
Click to the full post to see where you can find these items online.

What I am Packing for 5 Weeks in Europe!
I don't know about you but I have always been scared of having my luggage lost, and with so many connecting flights ahead of me, I knew that now was the time to face my fears and carry on! So I'm packing for a 5 week trip with a teeny-tiny-less-than-seven-kilos suitcase. Think I'm crazy? Everyone else does too, but I know it is possible and you can do it too!
These are the accessories that I am taking:
- 1 warm scarf
- 1 shady (and warm) hat
- 1 beanie
- 1 pair of sunglasses
- 1 small evening bag (I will also be using this sans strap as my travel wallet)
- 1 big tote (my "personal item") to carry extras without exceeding on-flight baggage limits.
- Jewellery is not shown here but I shall be taking 1 simple pendant necklace and 1 pr of stud earrings

As for tops and dresses, I will bring:
- 1 long sleeve tee
- 1 detailed tank
- 1 khaki boyfriend tee (commmmmfy)
- 1 lightweight sweater
- 1 lace dress (for something, er, dressy)

Jeans are GREAT and can be worn a couple of times each in cool weather. These will be joining me:
- 1 pr of light blue skinnies
- 1 pr of navy bootcut jeans (verging on a subtle bell-bottom, really)
- 1 pr of black sleek and stretchy jeans/leggings (not jeggings though, I swear)

Now for the outerwear. To cover all occasions/weather conditions I will take:
- 1 macintosh
- 1 cotton drill shirt (I think I bought a men's shirt by mistake, it's an XS but it's MASSIVE. Woops)
- 1 faux-leather motorcycle jacket. This could make pyjamas look good, seriously.

And finally... The shoes!
- 1 pr of black ballet flats (already worn in)
- 1 pr of Palladium boots (not so very worn in - but they soon will be)
So that's it!

Style Challenge: Ways to Wear a Pink Blazer
I recently unearthed an old issue of In Style (March 2011's to be exact) and was inspired by this image of a pink Stella McCartney blazer. I love the contrast of such a feminine colour on a typically masculine style of clothing.
Here's how I would style a pink blazer

That Dress for Less: Camilla and Marc vs. AX Paris
This week I have scouted out a pretty close match for Camilla and Marc's gorgeous Bubble Dress. Both the original and this AX Paris look-a-like are made from neoprene to give a great silhouette and I just adore their midnight blue colouring!
Which one would you wear?

BB Creams and Foundations I Want to Try
I'm looking to replace my current foundation, but with so many options out there, it's hard to choose! I thought that a moisturising BB cream would be good for Winter but I'm also pretty attached to the fuller coverage that foundations provide. Know any good ones that I should try? Let me know!

A Transeasonal OOTD
When the weather is being unpredictable between seasons (or just all year around if you live in Melbourne) I like to layer with lightweight scarves and cardigans.
Here is an awkward no-tripod photo of what I wore today...

Collective Fashion Haul for March '13
Just wanted to share some Autumn clothing buys from this month.
I had to buy these flats from Valleygirl one Friday night when my heels were killing my feet! Luckily they were on sale for $9.95.
I picked up a few things from Sportsgirl too. This first top is the Dita Spliced Tunic made from a maroon burn-out fabric with a sheer back and faux-leather trims which I love. I also snagged the Ex-Boyfriend Tee in khaki for about $25 on sale. It's very comfy and surprisingly warm so will definitely earn a spot in my upcoming travel wardrobe!

That Dress for Less: D&G Vs. H&M
Been lusting over something amazing lately that you just can't afford? Don't lie, I bet you have been.
Never fear, this Wednesday I've scouted out a great dupe for Dolce and Gabbana's cute stripey sundress in the form of a $12 H&M find. The former would certainly be a timeless buy for anyone with the spare cash, but those of us with slimmer wallets can safely take this H&M dress for a spin this season - and hopefully more to come.

Last Days of Summer OOTD
Okay so technically it's meant to be Autumn right now but it is still so warm here! I just wore a breezy babydoll top with some white 100% cotton jeans that I have owned for years. They have had a bit of salad dressing spilled on them in their time but a little bleach has kept them looking as good as new. If you've never worn white jeans before - try them! They work with almost any outfit, occassion or season and will always look classy.
Happy weekend!

Mother's Day Gifts She Will Actually Like!
Here are my 2013 Mother's Day gift idea picks for different budgets. All of the fashion items are made from non-animal materials (despite the appearance of those amazing leopard flats) and you will also find a bunny-friendly lipgloss by Butter London. Oh - and the beaded necklace and Belgian chocolate are fair trade!

Pics to Take to your Hairstylist Now
I've trawled through all of the "ways to lose to ten pounds in ten seconds" and "omg biotin is going to change your life" promises on our old friend Pinterest to bring you the hairstyles I am lusting over right now. I still can't decide whether to cut my hair shorter or not, but I am sure that I love these colours, textures and cuts!
